Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Volveth ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile games and apps we publish on Google Play and the Apple App Store, including Vortex, Ricochet, Bumper Putt and Phosphor Run. It applies to every Volveth game or app that links to this page.
The short version
- We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't run servers that collect your gameplay.
- Your progress, scores and settings are saved only on your device.
- Our free games show ads served by Google AdMob, which collects some device information to deliver and measure those ads.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play or Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Our games are not directed at children under 13.
Information stored on your device
Games save things like unlocked levels, high scores, cosmetic unlocks and whether you've bought "Remove Ads". This data stays in the app's private storage on your device. We don't receive it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Advertising
Our games use Google AdMob to show ads. To serve, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, or Apple's IDFA if you allow tracking);
- your IP address, which can indicate approximate location;
- device and app information, such as model, operating system and language;
- ad interactions, such as views and taps, and diagnostic data such as crash information.
Google processes this information under its own policies. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your ad choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: on first launch the game asks for your consent through Google's consent message. You can change your choice any time from the privacy options button on the title screen.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Settings under Privacy > Ads (or Google > Ads).
- iPhone and iPad: we only use your IDFA if you allow tracking when asked. You can change this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- If you decline personalized ads, you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your interests.
- Buying "Remove Ads", where offered, turns off interstitial ads. Optional rewarded ads, which you choose to watch for a bonus, stay available.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was made so the game can unlock it. We do not receive your name, email or payment information.
Children
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through one of our games, contact us and we'll help remove it.
Sharing and selling
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it except through the advertising and app store services described above. Depending on where you live, Google's ad processing may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under local law. You can opt out using the ad choices above, and US residents can read more below.
US state privacy rights
If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas or Virginia, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its "sale", its "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We don't sell personal information for money. The ads in our free games may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising", because Google AdMob can use your device's advertising identifier to choose ads. To opt out:
- Android: open Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Settings > Google > Ads) and tap Delete advertising ID. Apps, including ours, can then no longer use it to personalize ads.
- iPhone and iPad: leave Allow Apps to Request to Track off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or deny tracking when a game asks.
- By email: write to [email protected] with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share". Because we don't keep personal information on our own systems, the device setting above is what applies the opt-out; we'll confirm your request and help you with it.
Opting out doesn't change the game: you keep every feature and still see ads, they just aren't based on your interests. We don't collect sensitive personal information, and we don't knowingly sell or share information about anyone under 16.
To make any other request (to know, correct or delete), email us. We'll respond within 30 days. If we can't fulfil a request, we'll explain why, and you can appeal by replying to that answer; we'll respond to an appeal within 60 days. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Your rights
Because we don't hold personal information about you on our own systems, most requests are best handled through your device settings or directly with Google or Apple. You're still welcome to contact us with any privacy question or request, and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
